I’m in Northern California pretty often to visit the mother ship for my day job and finding Kosher food near San Jose can be a bit of a challenge. That is why I was so happy when The Kitchen Table Restaurant opened its doors last year and I have to say that it’s one of my favorite places to eat anywhere that I travel. The wait staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials that they are having. For this review I ordered the Minestrone Soup, Chicken Pot Pie and for dessert I had the Crème brûlée.

I’m a big fan of Minestrone soup and this one didn’t disappoint. It was full of vegetables and tasted wonderful. The only thing that I can say is that it seemed like it had a little more pepper than it should have.

Then came the chicken pot pie. I am usually not a chicken pot pie kind of guy but this was really good. The one thing that I learned is that once you open up the pie there is a lot of heat trapped in there so be careful.

Then it was on to dessert and the Crème brûlée. To be honest, I never had Crème brûlée before so I didn’t know what to expect. The top was nice and hard but the custard underneath seemed to be a little underdone. Maybe that it the way that its supposed to be, I’m not sure.

Over all eating at The Kitchen Table Restaurant is a wonderful experience.
